My Gurus : Shobana Nair, Pt. Naresh Pillai, Mayram J Shankar, Rajenthiren Naidu, Preetilekha Chaudary, Neeta Singh

Guru Meenakshi Acharya is a dedicated s a dedicated practitioner and teacher of two of India’s most profound classical dance traditions — Bharatanatyam and Sattriya. With years of rigorous training, deep devotion, and an unyielding passion for the arts, the Guru embodies the essence of discipline, creativity, and spirituality that these dance forms represent.

Carrying forward the legacy of Bharatanatyam, the Guru emphasizes the perfect balance of nritta (pure dance), nritya (expressive dance), and natya (dramatic storytelling). Students are guided to experience Bharatanatyam not just as a performance art, but as a path of devotion and discipline, rooted in the Natya Shastra. Equally devoted to Sattriya, the sacred dance tradition of Assam introduced by Srimanta Sankardeva, the Guru has worked to preserve its spiritual essence while making it accessible to learners of all backgrounds.
